Absolutely.unless you try to to outside 3-wide in a dogleg. The AI is vastly superior to N15's AI, but there are a couple of places they need some serious work. Incoming novel, I apologize.1) If you lose the rear end or hit the apron (or come up coming off of pit road) and there's an AI car coming low.they'll run you right over.
NASCAR Heat Evolution. Race as your favorite NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers across all 23 licensed NASCAR tracks in stunning HD with.
They have no recognition of your position or speed. If your'e up high, they seem to be fine, but low? You're dead.2) Going 3-wide in a dogleg like Charlotte or Atlanta is a disaster. The inside cars 'jump' a lane outside, like they're correcting their AI routines and will door-slam you into the wall every time. Granted, 3 wide in a dog leg isn't smart anyway, but in some shorter races your'e forced to take spots where you can get them, and it's an obvious lane-jump when the AI gets confused.3) Sort of related to 1.if you're a driver that prefers to let out early and roll into the corner for the best exit velocity, and the AI doesn't feel it's necessary-again, they'll run right over you if you go high to low. That one is much more forgiveable, as stuff like that can happen.
If I start low and stay low, I'm usually fine. But if it's somewhere like Richmond and I'm out at the wall and let out really early to catch the apex perfectly and then come down to the inside line.the car coming behind me will roll right through me.Overall, I have an absolute blast racing the AI, and it's worlds better than recent ETX games. Short races with pit stops actually work, as they don't always pile up and wreck each other, or have some phantom car (or two) that can go an entire race without needing fuel or tires. And a scattered group of cars that will take 2 tires, take no tires.makes late race pit stops really a fun dice roll. That sort of stuff has been missing for a long time. I just wish we could see stops under yellow to see why we lost 17 positions on pit road. Obviously it's because we took 4 while a bunch of AI took 2, but it's not readily apparent.
It'd be much better to be sitting in the stall watching a ton of cars drive by you.But I'm having fun with it, a lot more fun than the last 3 or 4 versions of NASCAR on PC (and yes, I still have NR2003 installed, but my desire to have chase points, yellow flags that don't race back to the line, etc. Is growing larger, so I continually hope for the next version to be decent).
